http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermiform_appendix#Function Apparently, the function we not longer needed was to process more plant-food, as our ancestors became omnivore. Many apes can process far more plants as we do, but as our ancestors stoppped being herbivore this functions reduced in evolution. |
well we did discover fire so we started cooking our food. Cooking and/or freezing will rupture cellulose cells and break it down hence no need for our bodies to produce chemicals to break it down like cows do for example.
Also if you read my previous post I am not against eating meat as I to eat it, but there is a lot of posts that show people didnt watch the video and just throw out their reasons as counter arguments why we need meat.
In all honesty I really think it comes down to taste and nothing more as we could easily get suppliments from other sources that will provide us with all the neutirents we need.
Even the whole majority of vegans look like death warmed up is false, as I know a fair few fat vegans out there. Carbs also makes you fat. so if they eating alot of rice and potatoes instead o their greens they can get pretty big.
