crazy thing is. 400 million is likely an underestimate. I think that number is roughly taken by gun manufactuer numbers from 1970 to today. Which ignores any guns before then and imported guns. (of course it ignores exported guns too, as plenty go across the border to mexico.)
It also doesn't count home made guns... which, lots of people tend to make homemade guns, or even canons.
