Gun control debate issues that bother me. Will Libertarians and Republicans please address these?

Yes people kill people, and the gun are only the tool. You can't predict when another crazy person decides to kill again, but you can restrict his access to the tool.

Absolutely impossible to tally restrict access.

How did alcohol prohibition turn out in the 20's and 30's?  What about drug bans?   Those aren't doing so well I hear.

There are over 400 million guns in the US.  It's simply not possible to round them all up or prevent any more from entering the country.

crazy thing is.  400 million is likely an underestimate.  I think that number is roughly taken by gun manufactuer numbers from 1970 to today.  Which ignores any guns before then and imported guns.  (of course it ignores exported guns too, as plenty go across the border to mexico.)

It also doesn't count home made guns... which, lots of people tend to make homemade guns, or even canons.
