PS. Mostly video cards in the market have full hardware acellaration for 4k resolutions but the HDMI used in the card (1.4a) limite the output to 1080p... that's not a videocard limitation.

That still doesn't answer who sony would market it too. Have they even released 4k tv's to the public? What's the point of adding cost for something people can't use.
