With that said, I don't approve of the mistreatment of animals that big corporations cause.

Animals are rightfully our food and we are the stewards of the ecco-system that we climbed to the top of. Animal abuse and neglect disgusts me, but local ranchers here in Oregon don't mistreat their animals.
My advice to you is to buy locally sourced meat products from trusted small businesses. Go to a butcher for meat instead of Safeway. Ask where it came from and if the butcher can't tell you the rancher's name go to another butcher.
Fight animal abuse not meat eaters.

The difference is you can bet your ass that humans won't go down without a fight if such a ridiculous scenerio were to occur. The truth is that even if I wanted to, I can't change how farmers want to treat "their" properties, I can tell you that I wouldn't treat "my" live stocks like shit if I was a farmer, but I also won't fault them for treating theirs like shit because it's really none of my god damned business.
