Honestly, I think I trust the iSupply numbers better ...
Non-trivial costs like the hard-drive, power-supply, and PS2 internals (that were included with the launch 60GB PS3) along with several other costs are not included in Merrill-Lynch's cost break-down and they seem to have Sony paying nearly MSRP prices for the Blu-Ray player and Cell processor even though they paid for the research & development and manufacture these components.
