I spent more money because I also needed something to do word processing on that ideally wouldn't die in 18 months aka most laptops, plus can also play games.
The advantage is that I get to play games which are cheaper, don't look like shit and run a lot faster & access to a whole world of mods. What I don't get are a bunch of reworked exclusives that are identical to their predecessors and laughably priced, or watered down versions of games e.g. Battlefield 3.
I never boasted about upgrading my PC.....Someones clearly jelly xD Also you clearly don't know the price of RAM as a decent set is about the same as a wireless pad....
Either way if the next consoles focus on being small and efficient over being power hungry beasts, gaming will be far superior on the PC then on the consoles. Just take a look at BF3, PS2, or even just DX11.

Yeam im jelly cause youre here boasting about PC superiority. Good luck finding cheaper PC games. Only way you get those games cheaper cause they are old outdated games that are not selling on steam so they put them on special discounts. Good luck paying $2.99 for the original Xbox version of Slpinter Cell. How does that work on Ultra settings? You think you got back your money worth yet? Ohh wait youre going to have to upgrade to a better card and CPU next year if youre going to want to visit more forums to boast and stay relavent. Battlefied is a boring and poor attempt to steal the COD audiance so....... yeah.....

You need to relax buddy. While I don't agree with how he went about things you clearly don't have a clue what you are talking about so please stop with your comments.

Making a statement without explaining what youre talking about makes no sense. Kindly explain what i dont have a clue about? I have just as much right to post comments here just like everyone else so its pointless telling me to stop with my comments without giving me a logical reason why.

Well first off you keep talking about PC as if they are thousands of dollars and you have to upgrade them and that is simply not true. Second off Steam sells games at a discount even if it is insanely popular. Assassin's creed Revelations, dishonored, and Black Ops II alone has went on sell multiple times since they have been out. PC also has tons of quality exclusives especially in the MMo and RTS categories. Now if you don't like them that is fine, that is your opinion. Steam also has I think 8m concurrent users online. What that means is it competes head to head with PSN and XBL. Battlefield and CoD are way different and are for different crowds so it's not some copy cat game. And btw look how long Battlefield has been around before saying it is trying to steal CoD's audience. Battlefield has had it's own audience for a long time.
Conclusion: Games are cheaper on PC. Look at Far Cry 3 for example. 50 not 60. Steam also offers discounts on a regular basis. I bought L.A. Noire for $5 and Fable II for $10. Both were 75% off. I'd hardly call those games old or say that they don't sell well. And lastly you don't have to upgrade your hardware every year.
