I am interested in W8 because of the improvements but since I abhor metro and the way they integrated it I am going to go with Windows 7. Oh and they are probably trying to use Windows 8 as a way to increase their game offerings...and in turn their subscription services. Like how they tried with Games for Windows Live. Except them to bark up that tree again. |
You do realize that you can (kind of) turn Metro off, right? I have done that and I'm always in the desktop mode. I even use a program called Classic Shell and I have the Start (Windows Pearl from Win7) on the bottom left corner of my laptop screen. So really, it is not a big deal. I'd say my computer runs much better on Win8. Even my online game runs better.
