In terms of sales it is doing awful and is one of the worst selling consoles from a major manufacturer ever; after all, it is selling at half the rate of the PSP and PS3 at a similar point in their life. To make matters worse, as long as the PS-Vita sells at its current level it increases the likelyhood that publishers will reduce/eliminate support for it in the future, which makes it harder for it to mount any kind of a come-back. While I expect a price cut at E3 I think it is a full year too late; and, while sales will improve, the additional 12 months of struggling will result in fewer games being released in 2014 and 2015 which will result in worse sales in those years.
