It's not that Origin is bad, it's indeed horrible. But battlelog is crap too.
Both those two applications (Origin and your web browser) combined with the game itself can push you past 4gb of Ram used sometimes depending on what else you have running, not an issue for most as the average PC starts pushing towards 16gb/32gb of ram, but worthy of mention.
Plus... having games dissapear randomly, non-existent support, Origin only allows your password to work half the time, price gauging and it only has a fraction of the features of Steam and a much much much smaller game library to boot and it's hard to recommend in my opinion, heck I have never been able to load the store or my order history or anything.
Then they don't provide refunds if the game doesn't work either, took me months to get a refund on Battlefield 3 and only because it was against the law for them not to provide a refund in my country and having taken them to consumer affairs who wen't looking into the matter.
I then made another account, bought Battlefield 3 off ebay for a fraction of the price and low-and-behold it works, on the same system and all.
Now would you have any of those problems? Maybe not. But it's worth noting.
The upside though to all the hassle and annoyance that is Battlelog and Origin is that Battlefield 3 is indeed a very enjoyable game with fantastic graphics and gameplay. - Just unfortunate that EA decided to pair such a game with such a crap service.
Oh and the Campaign is pretty boring too, but who would buy it for the campaign anyway?
Been looking at the Steam sales every day. - So far havent found anything that interests me, I still have several hundred other games to go through anyway from past sales but I keep going back to StarCraft 2 and play that every day instead. :P
