I didn't actually think about running them over with a car actually. I saw a few buffalos getting in front of my car but they moved aside. I tried to go melee one of them and he almost horned me to death. Can you not use your knife for the animals or is it just the smaller ones? How the heck does running them over work with such big animals?

The knife works on the Galapagos turtles, they don't fight back ;) Don't try knifing a bear though.
It's all about momentum with the car, just don't follow them down a mountain side. I emptied a couple of clips into the Komodo dragons then thought, screw that, hopped in a car and backed over them a couple of times, much safer.
