Yeah, like I've said previously, Microsoft has built up an enormous moat from its past successes, but you can't just do that anymore.  Companies need growth and innovation.  You're either growing or stagnating over time, and it looks like this company is doing the latter.

You're absolutely right. If Microsoft continues to use this strategy, then it will stagnate and perhaps, even go backwards. This strategy may also affect Microsoft's other products such as the Next-Box and its other software products. I will give Microsoft credit for finally breaking the "every other Windows OS is crappy" trend, though.
