My opinion...

It's just a dude wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans... it's un-appealing to me, the graphics are phenominal but I can tell it's the kind of game i'd stay playing, play for 15 minutes for a gawk at the graphics and then move onto something that appeals to me more.

I'm a very J style game lover and I aren't big on the English studio's style usually, and this is the epitimy of what I usually don't like... just dunno why, it's just un-appealing and generic looking. Sorry!

Would you have preffered khaki shorts and bouncing jugs to feel more at home?

 HAHA.... no sorry my Lara Croft phase passed when I was in high school many years ago...

@BenKenobi

It's interesting that you mention that you like the more 'relative' style actually... I love my Japanese Anime and I love the over the top powers and magic and ki energy's etc etc, that's not to say a regular style like this is bad, but it just doesn't appeal to me.  We all like different games, and its fair that a lot of people WILL like this game for sure.

Would I like this game if it had an over the top character with big shoulder pads and spikey anime hair? Probably not... it wouldn't suit the game at all, it's fine just the way it is - however this game doesn't appeal to me at all.

I like Half Life... is that generic? I don't think so.

I hated Doom 3 and Quake 4... were they too generic?

I didn't like Far Cry... excellent engine and gameplay but just got bored... why?

Who knows but its all different smokes for different blokes :)
