since the state is separated from the church we shouldn t have religious holidays to begin with
and
= since we do have xmas as a national holiday and it is part of our modern culture
= since we have many atheists and people from other religions having their own ways and they should not feel excluded
= since xmas was a pagan holiday to begin with
1/ yes it is normal that large groups and states use the form happy holiday instead of merry xmas
2/ i would prefer that it becomes an optional holiday so atheists like me can take a day off on a meaningful date/occasion
