What is the point of this? I don't mean to turn this into an XBL vs. PSN+; however, I cannot see any other reasonable justification for this thread, in which case, it is a wholly unfair comparison. With PSN+ there are items released every week, so it makes sense to have a thread that keeps people up to date with the changes.
This thread lists a culmination of years worth of stuff (to the best of my knowledge, not really knowledgable on XBL content), seemingly in a manner to make XBL comparable in value to PSN+.
If you want XBL to stand up to PSN+ then it should do so on its own merits. The fact that this thread exists demonstrates the questionable value of XBL. You should not have to stretch so far to find enough content to combat what PSN+ has released in such a short period of time. This thread even lists items that are available to the silver account (the PSN+ thread doesn't list content that is free to all users)
This thread demonstrates that XBL has become an expense that users have to form an argument to justify the value of. Not a good thing for the leading online service. |
as next step you should post in the halo 4 thread, i'm sure this thread was only made to combat the exclusive ps3 games of this year and not because people owning a 360 could be interested in that stuff they find in the h4 thread.

Was the other thread made in a similar format to the PS3 exclusives thread? Similar title? Updated weekly? The only reason I came into this thread was because the title seemed similar to the PSN+ thread and it hinted at a response thread. When there were other similarities I assumed that my assumption was correct.
I'll admit, I have no interest in free stuff on XBL. I also have no interest to go check out a Halo 4 thread since there seems no indication that it is a response thread. Your suggestion will be duly noted though and fully considered. You have my thanks sir, you have been most helpful.
