2GB eDRAM? That would be way too expensive.
6-core CPU @ 4 threads per core is 24 threaded, not 32. That poster can't do basic math?
8GB GDDR5, structured as 240-Pin DIMM kit? "G" in DDR5 stands for Graphics memory. Graphics memory does not come in 240-Pin DIMM kits. It is soldered onto the PCB/mainboard to reduce latency for the GPU. Also, we don't even have DDR4 publicly for sale in regular computers. The rumor apperas to bes mixing up 8GB DDR3 system memory and GDDR5 on the videocard or basically confused DDR3 with GDDR5.
I would believe the rumor if it said a 6-core 24 threaded IBM Power7 CPU + HD7770 2GB GDDR5 + 8GB of DDR3 system memory. That sounds reasonable. But in that case the GPU is pretty weak and 24-threaded CPU sounds overkill for such a low-end GPU. A 4-core 16 threaded CPU + HD7850 2GB and 4GB DDR3 console would be way preferable for games imo.
I think by looking at PS3 vs. 360 graphically, the Cell didn't really prove to be a worthwhile component that was worth the cost because the console became GPU limited in the latter years of its life. Wouldn't it make sense to repeat the Xbox 360 strategy and allocate more budget towards the GPU than the "24-32 threaded CPU"? The most discouraging part is almost all of these rumors universally point to a fairly low end GPU.
