iPhone has been in USA the longest and it has the widest coverage of carriers. Compared to Android OEMs, Apple has pretty strict requirements for carriers and not all are willing to carry the iPhone. But many eventually agree to negotiate after seeing constant subscriber losses from not being able to offer what customers desire. It's only been a few weeks since T-Mobile USA finally came around. As long as Apple keeps expanding distribution, it still can claw back marketshare from Android...they still have the giant China Mobile left to sign on. After that they may have to bring the iPhone range down-market like they did with the iPod (shuffle and nano).
