yeah, 'cause we've all seen how FFXI made a KILLING as a JMMO, right

 

 FFXI was/is successful, not to the level of WoW but it made them lots of money and it is the 4th or 5th largest paid MMO in the world (remember Lineage I and II rule Korea) with over a half million subscribers at it's peak and  currently around 300k paying $15/month since 2004.  It is starting to dwindle, but there are plenty of players dying for a competitor to WoW in terms of quality whether niche or main stream.
