#11 - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (PC)
As guessed by no-one :(
World of Warcraft literally changed my life. For better, or for worse, I still haven't decided. But regardless, the months of my life I lost enjoying this game I felt needed representing in my top 50 games, so here we are.
Burning Crusade was when I joined the game, so although I should probably list the original in here, it was this expansion pack which made me fall in love with it. And in all honesty, it was never better by the next two which I played (Wrath of the Lich King & Cataclysm). Blizzard crafted a beautiful living, breathing world full of wildly different locations which were literally awe-inspiring to explore first time around (particularly Silithus; Caverns of Time; Shattrath etc.) Add in some addictive mmo combat, enjoyable PVP system but the bread and butter of the game in the raid system and you've got yet another masterpiece. Some of the bosses and dungeons I explored during my time in TBC - Black Temple & Sunwell being the standout raids; Kael'Thas & M'uru being the standout bosses literally stay with me to this day. Awesome, epic and mind blowing. I wish the game was still in the TBC state because it was an awesome, awesome time.
Oh, and instead of a screenshot to end my post, here's the opening cinematic (with the quote you were all supposed to get!) which still gives me chills to this day. I was not prepared.
