The actual chip Microsoft chooses will largely depend on what price range they want to target at release and whether they want to bundle Kinect (or something) with the system. If they're targeting $300 unbundled I could see a 1TFLOP GPU, and if they're targeting $500 bundled I cold see a 2TFLOP GPU. |
It seems that WiiU, when fab and die size is taken into account, has between 352 and 528 GFLOPS (320 to 480 shaders@550MHz). Initial NextBox rumours were some 6x as 360, later rumours are 8x 360, which would be 1440 and 1920 GFLOPS respectively, if they took GFLOPS as comparison (that would be 7770 GHz Edition and 7870/7970m@750).
