Similar to the "worst movie" thread. However, if I were to ask people to post their favorite movie, they would throw out a ton of answers and say "I couldn't pick just one."
So, just recommend one movie you feel strongly about. It doesn't need to be your #1 favorite. It can be domestic, foreign, documentary, or animation. Also, try to pick a less common film. It doesn't need to be indy or tiny or anything. It's just everyone knows about 'Titanic,' or whatever, so there's no real need to plug it.
My pick is 'paris, texas.' One of the greatest independent character studies I've ever seen. It's long but sincere and truly engaging.
