They made progress, true, but I wouldn't call it outstanding. Except the US and UK both Nintendo and Sony have a far better position. They have absolutely NO chance in JP, seeing that even the Vita is struggling there.

But they don't need Japan to do well, so it doesn't matters anyway.

Canada, Mexico, Brazil are all countries where Xbox is very strong, way more than Playstation. Also AUS Xbox has been doing great there.

USA:

X360 379,825 (+25%) 37,680,713
3DS 192,885 (+31%) 6,882,588
PS3 185,944 (+22%)

23,223,749

North America:

X360: 40.9m
Ps3: 25.2m

360: 4.2m sales

Ps3: 2m Sales

ofcourse it had, microsoft had to drop the price by $100 just to compete with sony in australia, and they are still losing.

They did?

Thats wierd, I thought the 360 was dominant in all of the English speaking world and the PS3 was popular in non-English speaking countries like Japan, ukraine and slovenia

Xbox used to be ahead in australia, but those days are long gone, not only does sony advertise more here but other companys advertise the PS3 down here also, Australia is still a Wii country i believe, but as of late the ps3 has #1 by a longshot

Also, new zealand was always ps3 land, and ireland to, uk and north america are the only 360 dominated area's now, not sure about canada though.

im pretty sure Latin America is very strong for 360.

Plus even if it doesnt sell more there Xbox is already a huge brand in AUS and will only get bigger once Next Gen hits.

Also Xbox was top selling console during Chritmas in AUS.
