If people weren't idiots then it would be fine, but unfortunately they're willing to pay $600 for half-laptops that will be replaced in a year rather than pay $500 or $600 for a console that will be fully supported and improved for 6-8 years. Doesn't make sense to me but that's public perception for some reason.
