An easy argument against that is that videogames are as popular in other countries, but these things don't happen in those other countries.

I always find it strange that when something positive happens related to gaming everyone goes on about America being by far the most popular gaming country. Twist it around and when something negative happens gaming is "as popular as" in America as everywhere else.

You raised a very good point. Why almost always America? The country that loves shooting games more than anyone else - and have friendly firearms laws.

Music, films, the guy next door can all influence violence on a weak mind. Video games can simulate that violence. On the weak mind anything can be used as a catalyst. Don't compare what goes on in your brain with others. Just because video games hasn't influence you to violence doesn't mean it can't for others. Even if that is one person in five thousand.

@Chunli

C'mon. You can't compare a modern teenage kid living in the US with Hitler types. Those leaders were either borned in excessively violent times or witness severe violence during their lifes making violence the only life they knew.

What cold blooded wars. beheadings, etc has that kid witnessed?
