Like in previous posts, games might have a small impact (like movies but on another level) but they don't turn a sane person into a mass murderer.
It's a bit easier to go on a killing spree with all those guns lying around though. I can imagine the rage and excitement you get from blowing someones head off in a videogame and taking that rage outside when you are 'not sane anymore'.
