I mean why do we sent food etc? Food is the only thing they can produce by themselves and because we send free food their farmers cant sell their food. We should give them infrastructure and material we should build stuff like sewers, streets, wood metal etc. we should build channels so they have enough water. We should help them build farms etc... We should help them help themselves.
We still control them and because we sold alot of AK's and jeeps and whatever and demand diamonds etc there is all this chaos.
We are to blame for all this.

Who exactly keeps them down? It's not use spreading aid or forcing them to over populate areas.
If you think colonisation caused the problems (outside of the brutal Belgium regime) then you are kidding yourself. They don't care for our lifestyle hence the reason they are centuries behind the West. We send food because some people feel guilty/sorry for them as they don't understand what is going on. We should give them nothing and let them figure it out on their own, but Mr PC feels it's his duty to interfere with natural progression.
We are not to blame for the state they are in - that's absurd. They simply don't want what you and I want and you have to accept that.
