Please explain how you are going to enforce a minimum wage of, say, $8 per hour (less than Britain and most US states), in India or China, where quite often that is how much people earn in a week. Different countries have different levels of prosperity and different living wages. What you propose would be insanity.

You say something that even growing nations can afford. You keep the same currency, you just ajust. THis wouldn't be hard. The UN has rules already.
