Were there really some people upset about this? I didn't think anyone doubted the qualtiy of Metroid Prime. |
Well, I was skeptical about Metroid Prime when I heard that a western team was going to make a first person Metroid.
None of the first person games I played before Metroid Prime had the level design of a Metroid game, and the jumping in those games were too unaccurate as well. Then there was the menace of the game getting "westernized" and becoming a FPS with Samus.
Then the game did everything right, and the only bad thing I can say against it is that the combat can get messy in closed small areas.
