Nintendo v. Playstation (Japanese games, Handhelds) and Playstation v. Xbox (HD, "core" market) are simply natural rivalries. Xbox v. Nintendo has been much less of one, though that might potential change somewhat with this coming generation.
As far as the worst group, it entirely depends on who is on top, or perceived to be, at any given moment. People are people and the make-up of each group is pretty much the same. Anyone who tells you that one is inherently different is delusional.
