Religion: Why Take A Guess?

I think these people do believe they have reached the kantian ideal of an universal morality; that is, moral laws that in theory would predate people themselves, just like physical laws, and therefore be applicable to God... that used to be the predominant philosophy on the western world until Nietzsche, Marx etc. brought in the cultural, moral and social relativism.

And might I add, though a bit off-topic, that long-term these relativisms have been the most damaging thing to ever happen to the western world.
