Whilst I agree that PS+ is an amazingly good offer that Sony should shout about more often, especially to those new to buying an HD console where it offers unprecedented value, I'm not sure it would make a significant impact upon the 360's dominance in the US. It's too late in the generation for that. Still, I fully agree that Sony need to get the word out: as it stands, they have a great product, but few realise just how good it is.
