Vita has outlasted the 3ds

what many i think are upset about is how the op pointed out that Sony's PSVita has outlasted Nintendo's 3DS in the point of not getting a Price cut in order to have this thread of Sony "outlasting" anything Nintendo!..lol
when you could have put that Microsoft has had  the xbox360 has sold better without as many price cuts as Sony have had to do to spur sales of their systems! in the same time frame..lol

Gotcha, Damn then this isn't really an accomplishment since sony is in a position that can't do any price drops and thats the only reason why they haven't drop its price!

Also if 3DS didn't have tne price drop they'd probably reach 7-8mil at this time anyway???

I would think even without a Price drop Nintendo 3DS would have made that Anyway due to Nintendo Handhelds having a strong sales platform strength even without 3RD party support. out of the three Only Nintendo i would think could sell their systems alone just on 1st party offering's only. As a matter of fact the recent sales of the DS, DS lite, DS XL all would sell quite well without 1st party.

As for not being able to drop the price, why would they? right now Sony is concentrating on profit, the fact that until atleast 2015 most mobile game development still for software will still be based on single core processor's. for Applications, currently Sony's PSVita has the most GPU dedicated Ram out of any handheld on the market today, and most like will remain that way. 128 MB of Dedicated GPU ram, for a Handheld? that's the thing Sony purchased Sony Ericsson out right for 1.4 billion+ developed and released Sony Playstation Suite ie: Playstation Mobile, and made the Xperia line of smartphone's and Tablets compatable with that not to mention HTC, sharp, Asus and other's to top it off sony sell's over 8.8 million xperia Handsets a sales Quarter, An People still think Sony is not paying attention where the market trends are heading?

look at the recent interview with EA games publishing for production of Games,2013 will have only 14 but Mobile will have over 30! which platform between Nintendo and Sony is more aligned with that for the future? Arm 11 or Arm cortex A9's, look at Microsoft's surface and smartglass, Apple, and Google.

Not to say Sony outright everything is all good, but the fact that the 3DS is not using very upto date Hardware chips the 3DS may have a problem down the line if Sony's stratagy pans out.

just like the Wii, the PS3 and the Xbox360. in a lot of ways Nintendo had to release another system in the time that both Microsoft and Sony replace their's
