I don't have a problem with the cameras. If people are going to drive stupidly, they deserve to be caught driving stupidly.
And America is certainly not the only country with these problems, I don't know where you got that idea. Anyway, nothing has been ruined for me. I use air travel about as often as I ever did. I've never gotten a ticket or caught by a camera, though I drive a bit more cautiously now. And I don't own any guns in danger of being taken away from me.
