Another possible explanation could be the legion of MS evangelists and astroturfers endlessly scouting the net, looking for any negativeness against MS and its products and bravely fending it off. 
(Have you ever noticed how swiftly, here in VGC, "citizen k" swoops down on every thread with any negativeness against MS or even just too positive for Sony according to his tastes?
