From the discussion how various crimes are categorized can distort or confuse data. I think our perception of crime plays a massive role in how we view society with the intensity of the present magnifying concerns. On the topic, this is just so very sad and my thoughts are with the children and the families. I will never understand such senseless violence. |
More like last 20 I believe.
Still... these kinds of crimes don't fit "regular" crime profiles or pathologies.
You would have to assume there would have to be situations for such a person to be "born".
Which is why the gun arguement is distracting and well stupid.
Does anyone actually believe that proximity to a gun suddenly makes someone say "Hey lets go shoot up a school/my workplace/mall!"
There has to be something in society that more or less triggers these people. Put in gun control, and it's not going to change anything, those people will just get the guns they need however they need to... pretty eaisly. I mean, i bet I could buy a gun illegally given about a weekends time. (Not that i'd want one.)
It's interesting too that this is argueably coming at a time where serial killers are shrinking

(2000's will likely be higher as more people get arrested later on.)
Which is weird. You'd expect both to grow together.
