I just did 'look through it' and I count 76 school shootings going back to 2000, so 76 in 12 years. |
I'll break it down for you.
Teacher goes into a school with a gun. Shoots antoher teacher. Is arrested.
That would count as a school shooting. That kind of thing isn't as rare as you would think anywhere.
A Mass killer is like in this case. Where the person tries to kill a bunch of people. Such cases are very rare to where Per capita compairsons are useless... since anytime a country like Finland or Norway have one... they suddenly shoot so far over the US it'd make your head spin.
Consider it this way. 60 shooters in a population of 300 million. Or 1 shooter in a population of 5 million.
The first sounds a lot worse right... 60!
They're the exact same ratio. I mean honestly, a country like Germany probably has a higher ration then the US, as they've had a few mass killings in the last 30 years or so and a much smaller population.
