This apparently was his first usage of the Wii-Remote but not having obvious gaming applications it never got very popular.
Its still pretty damn cool.
PS - Found this thanks to the interview he did in a podcast (posted elsewhere on this site).
edit: Update: In that interview he also mentions that he came up with a list of 8-10 ideas and that we only have seen 3 of them so far...he also mentioned it might be a few months before his next video.
