It's competing directly with eSfere (http://www.indiegogo.com/eSfere) and indirectly with Wikipad and Archos (and others)
Unlike Ouya, eSfere plays ALL Android games on your TV without any special programming needed but also without true analog sticks.
There are already a few of these Android based systems announced and more to come I'm sure. Most will fail. Someone will have a hit though. I'm waiting for someone to make a full-on tablet/gamepad (like Wikipad) that also displays to the TV - (Like Ouya/WiiU). I'm sure it'll happen and when it does, WiiU will be in trouble because it's casual base isn't that discerning. Don't get me wrong, they'll want quality games, but there's a lot of quality games on Android too and more released all the time. Just maybe not as deep as what Nintendo (sometimes) offers. Even is this supposed gaming tablet that lets you play on TV costs $500, it'll be precieved as a superior value to WiiU because it's a full tablet, not a touch screen.
If Apple creates an igamepad - watch out. Instant success.
