CCFanboy said: 1. They have no clear path360 actually appeals to both core and casuals the best out of all 3 this gen. Nintendo was mostly casual with Wii and Sony is mostly core, though they wanted to be casual if Move succeeded. This just means that next Xbox will benefit from both markets. Sony doesnt have casuals on their side.
2. Xbox live goldLive Gold hasn't hampered MS in the last 10 years and in fact has only grown. You can complain but talk is cheap. The suscribers and money generated speak far louder.
3. Lack of dedicated exclusivesMS opened many studios in the last 2 years with thr purpose of making next gen content. 4. 360 2 + japan = dead on arrival360 sells bad in Japan. Its still 2nd place after 7 years. You dont need Japan to be relevant anymore in the console space. Its nice, but not essential. 5. They focus too much on the competitionThis is by far their best asset. They see what their competitor does and capitalizes on their weaknesses. MS has made brutal business move after another one against Sony and the results speak for themselves. Massive gen over gen improvement while PS declined. Sony mishandling is to blame, but so is MS's ability to take advantage. |
