Ford could create a hybrid muscle car and SUV but that doesn't mean it is a good idea or that there is a market for it ... Beyond that, you can buy a Nexus 10 for $400 and a 15 inch laptop with a Core i5 and 6GB of memory for around $600 which doesn't make the surface much of a "value"; especially for people who see the surface as being an inferior tablet than the Nexus 10 and an inferior laptop to the Core i5. When I used the Surface I couldn't help but think if the Zune, a device with some interesting ideas that were mostly poorly executed and was years behind the competition in the features consumers actually care about. |
Regardless what you think, its fact that Surface Pro can do alot more than Nexus 10 just as a tablet.
Your car analogy doesnt work here. Computers are hugely different.
We already know how much more functional RT is than any Android Tablet or Ipad. And in 1-2 years time Win 8 will have more apps than anyone. Win 8 has already sold more than any IOS or OSX or Droid OS ever. And all who have it can access the Marketplace for apps.
Surface RT is for those who want an Ipad competitor with great build quality and the same pricing.
Pro is for those who want both combined into 1. Of wich impressions are incredibly fast and functional as a full Win 8 desktop. And incredibly functional and fast as a tablet out and about.
Nexus 10 doesnt even stand a chance wit its lack of features in comparison. Not to mention the need to still have a laptop.
