You bring up some good points, and MS might end up in 3rd place next gen. But then again, PS3 is in 3rd place right now, and with 70 million sold units it's not a bad place to be in. As long as it isn't a GameCube kind of 3rd place they should be alright; only Nintendo could survive that kind of sales...
