I don't understand why they licensed out EU3.0 for the Last Remnant if they a fully functional multiplatform in-house engine.

From what I understood, FFXIII was supposed tobe the premiere game using the White Engine. Last Remnant is supposed to be released before it, so instead of delaying the game until after XIII and the White Engine is complete, they went with UE to get it out as soon as possible.
