I have a hard time picturing this PConsole being successful... When you game on your PC its with the mouse and keyboard, and I would imagine that few livingroom tables are high enough to allow for that set up. Many families already has a PC, which they use to do homework and work on, sharing it. It would be a really niche market that would buy a PConsole. And Valve don't have the kind of 1st party games that pushes a system. I guess it'll sell like... 10m-20m units, but probably closer to 10 going by what little we know now.

i game mostly on my pc, and 90% of the time i use a controller, I only use mouse and keyboard for RTS's and Diablo 3.

Yes, that was what I was trying to say; certain genres won't be a good fit with this kind of console since some won't be able to use mouse/keyboard in the livingroom. I love me some strategy games, and I wouldn't be able to play them on a console like this. I do think however, that Wii U could pull it off if done right, so if Valve follows suit and design a similar GamePad then maybe.

I think this steambox will attract just a few numbers of console gamers and even fewer PC gamers.

the steam box will probably have the most controls options. keyboard and mouse, controller, i believe they have or are working on motion controls, and i dont see why they cant use a smart phone or tablet as a controller like MS.
