You do realize that the reason that Katrina was so horribly handled was the incompetence of my former governor Kathleen Blanco. She halted all help for days. She was the problem at that issue.

I heard that jackson actually wanted to negotiate and actually liked the indians, but western pioneers bent on "claiming what is rightfully theirs" and politics with the same idea pressured jackson

 The Supreme Court said "You can't move these Indians".  Jackson passed the law the court ruled on, and  then later forcibly moved them defying the surpreme court.

You'd be hard pressed to find a time where the 3 branch democracy was in more jeopardy since then.
