I would explain, but it would be much easier if you just googled it.  Basically automatic or burst capable rifles.

Yeah, they were banned from being made, but as long as it was made before the ban, you can legally own it.  There are a lot of automatic and burst fire weapons out there, and people should not be allowed to own them.
