I have a hard time picturing this PConsole being successful... When you game on your PC its with the mouse and keyboard, and I would imagine that few livingroom tables are high enough to allow for that set up. Many families already has a PC, which they use to do homework and work on, sharing it. It would be a really niche market that would buy a PConsole. And Valve don't have the kind of 1st party games that pushes a system. I guess it'll sell like... 10m-20m units, but probably closer to 10 going by what little we know now.

I play Dark Soul's, Batman etc with gamepad just fine with better graphics on PC. Annnd I can remap buttons in every game I use it for, if the developer chooses a bad scheme.
I agree it will be niche. But valves big cash cow isn't going to be this console imo. It's going to be steam. Take away say 5 million console players. Add 5 million of people that already own another console, but not a PC.
You already have an existing userbase of 50 million, just adding that you increase it by 20%. There's logistic issues than consoles. But the way I see it, is that it's an entry point into the gaming PC market for people otherwise intimidated.

Yeah, but there's a lot of games that can't be played using ordinary gamepads. How you gonna play Total War or Civilization? It'll suck monkey balls.
