WiiU sells less than Vita in UK, we need to talk about it.

I agree, and I find it worrisome what Kyliedog said about the mom and her son. These are the casuals that made Wii so big.

And Vita was plentiful everywhere whilst trying to get a Wii U in a high street retailer (where most people still shop) is actually proving extremely difficult based on my anecdotal experience in town yesterday where it's now "pre order to get one for Christmas" in many shops. I think they have indeed got stock shortages. Apparently they've shafted Europe to provide more units for the US an Japan, though whether thats true I don't know.

All I know is I love my Vita and now I've got ZombiU, I'm loving my Wii U. I'll leave you guys to argue all the doom and gloom, but I do believe Nintendo have been "DOOOMED" for the past 15 years, yet somehow they're still here ;)
