Yeah I know about GTA, that's why I said maybe. Haven't played a GTA since the original.
The others - Street Fighter is cartoon, I've played it for 20 years. Final Fantasy "violence" is not what I mean. It's not that hard to understand, is it? Jumping on a Koopa's head is not the same as gory dismemberment. I don't want to play war, to be a marine, blood all over the screen, cruelty.
In the NES / SNES days, the action was abstract. R-Type never felt violent to me.
