If the idea of another prequel is what's bothering you then just imagine it as a reboot or something, with all the changes and the new multiplayer component it may as well be to be honest. In January Sony Santa Monica are going to start talking about and showing more of the single player so hopefully it'll reassure you that you shouldn't be against God of War: Ascension but should be excited for it.
