Well, looking at Nintendo's terrible E3 2012 conference we would have assumed that there was no Black Ops 2, Madden or Fifa coming either. And E3 is a far more prolific event to make announcements than the VGAs...
Nintendo has been weird with news about WiiU, having their own events and Nintendo Directs to do reveals. I'm not saying big games like Infinite and GTAV are definitely coming and just haven't been announced yet, but no reveals from Nintendo at the VGAs of all things really doesn't mean much regarding a lacking lineup for 2013.
