Who's that guy on here who is so fervent about PS4 NOT releasing in 2013?

Seeing as every Sony major title is early 2013 (with the exception of Beyond) + the other indicators... I think it's likely that he'll be quite embarrassed this time next year ;)

I'm one of them, because any hardware releasing in 2013 will miss a huge chunk of power compare to 2014 and 2015  if you look at the hardware advancement roadmap on the PC side so if both Sony and MS are rushing their consoles out, there will be a lot of missed graphical power upgrades at the same price point. Which means even if I'm wrong on the release date, I'm still right on when I said that if they release the devices early, they won't be really that powerful by any means, of course I'm speaking from a PC perspective.

Interesting and how did ps3 and 360 compare with the tech of their day when they released?

they were much closer besides the really low amounts of RAM which really sucks, I'd even say they had stronger CPUs compared to the average PCs at the time.

At the time of it's release, 360 had the best GPU available in the market, and it was on par with high end PCs at the time...I except PS4/720 to do the same

Not if it's a 2013 release, they'd be jumping the gun, if the APU rumors are true, there is noway they'd be on par to even beyond average PCs of right now, let along high end PCs based on amount of wattage requirements.

Rumours about specs don't mean shit

True, look at how the Wii U turned out to be even worse :P but either way, I'm not going to be far off the mark, the 8th gen consoles won't have the power of current high end PCs, the power requirement is too different when PCs are running on 750-1250W+ power supplies doubling as a heater in the room while consoles don't usually push over 300W.
